Discovery Ranger Andrew Turbill will take you through the ancient subtropical rainforest of Dorrigo National Park where you’ll explore a natural wonderland that’s been 40 million years in the making. The evolution of the rainforest dates back to the great supercontinent of Gondwana, when Australia was still connected to Antarctica and South America.
It’s here, in these forests, that birds first began to sing and from these forests their song eventually travelled across the world. When you listen to the voices of birds along the track today you’re also hearing the ancient voice of Gondwana.
