Yacaaba Headland walking track, in southern Myall Lakes National Park at Hawks Nest, is open to a viewing point.

Parts of Hunter Wetlands National Park will be closed within a date range of 0630 (6:30am) Monday 5th August 2024 to 2300pm Monday 30th June 2025 for deer control shoot operations preventing localised economic impacts and protecting biodiversity assests within the park.
When active the shoot operation area will be delignated by signage advising visitors “do not enter” at any time during the nighttime operation.

Middle Camp DA/2238/2017 - has begun works in the Catherine Hill Bay area adjacent to lands managed by Munmorah State Conservation Area. These works due to the location now has temporary closures to access trails for Munmorah SCA. This is necessary for the contractor managing this development in order to maintain a safe construction site and public safety.
NPWS apologises for the inconvenience and are unable to provide alternate access.

The boardwalk between Tamboi trail and Brambles Green campground is permanently closed due to flood damage.
Walkers on the Mungo Track can take the detour at Mungo Brush. Please follow the walking track to the beach and then walk south for 4km. Take the slashed management trail which connects the beach to Mungo Brush Road to re-join the Mungo Track.

Grass Tree walking track is closed due to vandalism, repair works will be scheduled as soon as possible. Until then the track will remain closed.
To continue on the Coast walking track walkers need to detour from Frazer Beach around National Park roads which include; Frazer Beach Road, Campbell Drive and Wybung Road, walkers will re-join the Coast walking track at Geebung walking track section.
Walkers are advised to be mindful of traffic and to keep off the roads and try to walk to the side if choosing to take these detours. Note that these are rough and not easy to traverse.

Construction of the Magenta Shared Walkway on behalf of Central Coast Council is being undertaken adjacent to Wilfred Barret Drive, Magenta. These works are not within Wyrrabalong National Park and no clearing of Park Estate is planned to occur as part of these works. Parts of the NSW Central Coast are a declared high risk area due to large swells and hazardous surf conditions. In these high risk areas under the NSW Rock Fishing Safety Act 2016, you are required by law to wear an appropriate life jacket. This includes children and anyone helping you fish. This is regulated by NSW Fisheries and poses an on the spot $100 fine if non-compliant.
Before rock fishing you should always:
